App (Bahasa Indonesia spreken) Kataku is ready!
The assignment for the students was to develop a stand alone (off line) Android app for the primary school pupils with basic reading skills to be used in and after class, for learning and practising basic Bahasa Indonesia as a second language. Consisting of 4 different games covering 10 different themes the app is a challenging, intuïtive, interactive method based on TPR, connecting sight and sound by connecting pictures, words and pronounciation. Simple, inviting and adjustable to different cultural contexts.
Big ups to the hard working enthousiastic developers team consisting of the Education Instititute for Informatics & Information Science students of Radboud University applying their skills for real life field applianced. You did a great job. Let’s take it to the remote schools in Papua!
